What are the responsibilities and job description for the Culinary Assistant position at Ebenezer?
This Ebenezer culinary assistant/dietary position is responsible for dining room and to go meal service to assisted living residents at Deer Crest in Red Wing, MN.
This position includes;
- 72 hours every two weeks
- Day shift
- Every other weekend and holiday rotation
Responsibilities
- Serves meals and ensures that the dining area is clean and inviting:
- Follows meal serving schedule and procedures.
- Offers resident meal choices and meets resident’s specific dietary needs.
- Uses proper safety and sanitation techniques.
- Follows dining room cleaning schedule and procedures.
- Follow proper procedures for dining room set-up.
- Follows proper work flow to stay on task.
- Learns and becomes proficient with EMenu System and restaurant style service.
- Ensures all dishes (including flatware, drinkware, etc.) are washed, sanitized, and put away before end of shift.
- Promotes and encourages positive resident relations and satisfaction:
- Welcomes residents and initiates conversation.
- Accommodates resident requests such as requests for food substitution, change in seating, etc.
- Listens to any complaints and responds appropriately. Refers issues to Executive Director and Culinary Director as appropriate.
