About the Opportunity
Our client is a growing MEP consulting engineering firm seeking a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) to join their team in a senior-level capacity. This role is designed for a technically strong and entrepreneurial-minded engineer who is eager to take on leadership responsibilities, contribute to business growth, and evolve into a long-term ownership or partnership position within the firm.

Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Execution
- Lead multidisciplinary MEP projects from concept design through construction administration.
- Oversee the preparation and review of engineering calculations, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with client expectations.
- Conduct site visits, field investigations, and construction progress reviews as needed.
Coordination & Technical Oversight
- Coordinate across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines to ensure integrated system design.
- Maintain a strong understanding of applicable codes and standards (IBC, NEC, ASHRAE, NFPA, etc.).
- Utilize tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other engineering software to support design and documentation.
Client Management & Business Development
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong, long-term relationships.
- Support business development initiatives, including proposal preparation, networking, and client expansion.
- Identify opportunities for additional services and contribute to firm growth strategies.
Team Leadership & Mentorship
- Mentor and support junior engineers and staff, fostering technical growth and professional development.
- Contribute to the development of internal standards, processes, and best practices.
- Promote a collaborative, high-performance team environment.
Qualifications
- Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field (master’s preferred).
- 8–15 years of experience in MEP consulting engineering.
- Proven track record managing multidisciplinary engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge of building codes and industry standards (IBC, NEC, ASHRAE, NFPA).
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and standard engineering design tools.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills.
