This is more than a traditional engineering role—it's an opportunity to help shape the future of a firm, build lasting client relationships, and play a key role in strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Execution

  • Lead multidisciplinary MEP projects from concept design through construction administration.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of engineering calculations, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with client expectations.
  • Conduct site visits, field investigations, and construction progress reviews as needed.

Coordination & Technical Oversight

  • Coordinate across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines to ensure integrated system design.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of applicable codes and standards (IBC, NEC, ASHRAE, NFPA, etc.).
  • Utilize tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other engineering software to support design and documentation.

Client Management & Business Development

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong, long-term relationships.
  • Support business development initiatives, including proposal preparation, networking, and client expansion.
  • Identify opportunities for additional services and contribute to firm growth strategies.

Team Leadership & Mentorship

  • Mentor and support junior engineers and staff, fostering technical growth and professional development.
  • Contribute to the development of internal standards, processes, and best practices.
  • Promote a collaborative, high-performance team environment.

Qualifications

  • Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field (master’s preferred).
  • 8–15 years of experience in MEP consulting engineering.
  • Proven track record managing multidisciplinary engineering projects.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes and industry standards (IBC, NEC, ASHRAE, NFPA).
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and standard engineering design tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills.

Benefits

  • Flexible, fully remote work environment built on autonomy and trust.
  • Opportunity to take on leadership and strategic responsibilities within a growing firm.
  • Clear and defined path toward ownership or equity participation based on performance and contribution.
  • Competitive compensation, $130K-$150K, aligned with experience and impact.
  • Collaborative, growth-oriented culture focused on technical excellence and client success.
