What are the responsibilities and job description for the EVS Specialist position at Ebb Tide?
A rehab facility located in the West Palm Beach area is seeking a skilled and dependable EVS Specialist to join our residential treatment and medical detox facility. The EVS Specialist is responsible for ensuring patient rooms, therapy areas, common spaces, offices, and clinical support areas meet established cleanliness, infection prevention, and safety standards.
Duties include (but not limited to)
- Clean and disinfect patient rooms, bathrooms, treatment areas, offices, hallways, dining areas, and common spaces.
- Perform daily, periodic, and discharge cleaning according to facility protocols.
- Follow infection prevention and control procedures, including proper use of disinfectants and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Empty trash and biohazard waste containers and dispose of waste in accordance with facility and regulatory guidelines.
- Dust, vacuum, sweep, mop, and sanitize surfaces to maintain a safe and sanitary environment.
- Replenish supplies including paper products, soap, hand sanitizer, and cleaning materials.
- Report maintenance, safety, or environmental concerns to the appropriate department.
- Operate and maintain housekeeping equipment, including vacuums, floor scrubbers, buffers, and carpet cleaning equipment.
- Respond promptly to spills, contamination incidents, and urgent cleaning requests.
- Maintain accurate cleaning logs and documentation as required.
- Adhere to OSHA, CDC, state, and facility safety standards.
