Salary is commensurate with experience, with a starting annual salary of $100,000.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a member of our bridge inspection team, the Bridge Inspection Team Leader will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Performing condition inspections and evaluations of various highway structures such as bridges, culverts, retaining walls, etc.
- Preparing inspection reports following MDOT SHA's requirements and guidelines.
- Performing structural and load rating analysis based on as-built drawings and current conditions.
CORE REQUIREMENTS:
To excel in this role, candidates must possess:
- Associate or bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a focus on structures
- Successful completion of the NHI Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges Course (FHWAA-NHI-130055)
- Experience writing inspection reports
- Proficiency in bridge inspection software and tools
- Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills
