Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Material Buyer / Yard Manager to join our team, primarily supporting the lumber yard division. This role includes overseeing material procurement, managing yard operations and staff, and coordinating product deliveries. As a member of a small, dynamic team, you may also be called upon to assist with other areas of the business as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Purchase building materials such as lumber, doors, windows, siding, and related construction products.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the lumber yard.
- Supervise and support yard staff.
- Manage and organize the delivery schedule for all lumber yard products.
- Develop cross-functional knowledge of other company divisions to provide additional support when necessary.
