Position Overview
We are seeking a Line of Business Manager with proven general contractor and electrical contracting experience. This leader will manage the full lifecycle of high-value, multi-trade projects, often serving as the general contractor (GC) while ensuring excellence in electrical systems delivery.
The ideal candidate combines business acumen, field leadership, and GC-level project management expertise. You will oversee a diverse project portfolio, own P&L responsibility, lead high-performing teams, and strengthen client relationships in government and industrial markets.
Key Responsibilities
Project Portfolio Leadership & Delivery
- Oversee multiple concurrent projects ($500K–$10M ), serving as GC or electrical prime contractor.
- Manage project scheduling, procurement, permitting, subcontractors, and site execution.
- Coordinate across multiple trades to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems within overall construction.
- Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to Eau Gallie’s standards of safety and quality.
Business & Financial Accountability
- Full ownership of P&L for assigned projects, including forecasting, job costing, and cash flow.
- Manage GC responsibilities: prime contract compliance, subcontractor agreements, and change orders.
- Apply lean construction methods to reduce waste and maximize value.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and mentor project managers, superintendents, and coordinators.
- Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing staff aligned with company values.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.
Client Engagement & Strategic Execution
- Act as key client contact for large industrial, commercial, and government projects.
- Support preconstruction planning, bid strategy, and contract negotiation.
- Build trusted relationships through proactive communication and reliable delivery.
Candidate Profile
Essential Qualifications
- 10 years of progressive experience in commercial/industrial construction, including at least 5 years in a general contractor or prime contractor capacity.
- Proven leadership in managing multi-trade projects and subcontractor performance.
- Full P&L management experience with financial forecasting and cost control.
- Strong expertise in electrical systems and field operations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and client-facing skills.

Preferred
- Background in generator systems, switchgear, ATS, and power distribution.
- Lean construction training or implementation experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Business.
