What you’ll do
- Coordinate service schedules for generator repairs and maintenance, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
- Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and provide top-notch customer service.
- Oversee the work of service technicians, providing guidance on diesel engine repair, electrical systems, and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Review schematics and technical documentation to assist in diagnosing equipment issues accurately.
- Manage inventory of parts and tools necessary for generator repair and maintenance tasks.
- Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure adherence to safety standards and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with sales teams to identify opportunities for service contracts and additional services.
- Maintain accurate records of service activities, customer interactions, and equipment repairs.
Basic qualifications
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive or equipment repair.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for repairs.
- Experience with generator systems, including troubleshooting electrical components and diesel engines.
Preferred qualifications
- Previous experience in a dealership or as a service technician is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Caterpillar products is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during repair processes.
- Skills in soldering for electrical repairs will be beneficial.
