What are the responsibilities and job description for the Meal Delivery Worker- ADRC position at Eau Claire County?
The Meal Delivery Worker delivers Meals on Wheels to homebound elderly and disabled people in isolated rural areas of Eau Claire County.
Position will work 4-5 hours per day, 2-3 days per week. Optional hours maybe available as needed. No weekends, nights or holidays required.

- Picks up and transports meals to homebound elderly and disabled people with the capability to drive in adverse weather and road conditions.
- Preserves accurate records; maintains daily log of meal deliveries and contributions collected; monitors food temperatures and completes temperature logs.
- Applies excellent observation skills to make good judgments about an individual's well-being based on daily observations and conversations using trauma informed model of service; performs daily check on clients' well-being when delivering meals; meets with ADRC Manager to review present clients and observations on clients’ well-being.
- Exercises strong analytical skills to report problems with meal delivery or change in client status; discusses routing challenges with ADRC Manager; inspects vehicles daily and reports any operational or structural defects.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with internal and external partners.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or required.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Appointment will be conditional upon successful completion of criminal and caregiver background checks.
- Position will require a pre-employment physical exam.
- Must have valid driver’s license, an acceptable driving record, and access to private transportation for work-related duties.
- Must possess and maintain personal automobile insurance in the amount of $100,000/$300,000.
