Requirements:

- Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

- This is a 480-hour internship with a planned start date at the end of May until all 480 hours are completed

POSITION SCOPE
Under general supervision, this position performs data entry and asset management duties for the Community Services Department. This position will identify and catalog assets, which will include reviewing documents and traveling to different City sites to assist in the completion of an assessment management software. This position is a paid internship.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist with buildout and data entry of assets in Cartegraph asset management system.
Enter and update sign, infrastructure, and other City asset details.
Conduct field inventory of materials and landscaped areas maintained by the City.
Perform utility and irrigation line locates within City parks.
Locate and map all City cemeteries using GIS tools.
Support asset tracking, documentation, and quality control efforts.
Enter and update data into asset management software with a high level of accuracy.
Adhere to established data entry procedures.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Perform related duties as required. At times may be asked to perform other functions within the Community Services Department to complete a task/project, as needed.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATIONS
Current student or recent graduate in Geography, GIS, or related field at a university or college is required.
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Previous office experience is preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Monday through Friday 7AM-3PM. This is a 480-hour internship, planned start date is at the end of May until all hours are met. Schedule/hours are flexible.
