Shipping Clerk

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Shipping Clerk. The hourly rate for this position is $21.63 per hour.

HOURS: 7AM - 3:30PM

What You’ll Do

• Timely and accurate shipment and invoicing of all orders
• Generate Bills of Lading and other shipping documents for all shipped product.
• Assign product to trucks by consulting shipping orders and inventory records
• Ensure quantity and quality objectives are met for all orders
• Ensure priority orders ship as requested (both on time and ship via)
• Interface with carriers, internal sales and customer service departments to maximize performance and customer satisfaction
• Load trucks with outgoing product as required
• Prepare documents to route materials
• Print shipping labels, pack, and ship items
• Perform all clerical duties as necessary to ensure the accurate and timely shipment of all orders
• Requisition and store shipping supplies to maintain stock of labels and items needed to perform job

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• Must have a High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) from an accredited institutiion
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Richmond, VA will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in shipping department, preferably in a manufacturing organization
• Prior forklift certification strongly preferred
  
  
  

Skills

Position Criteria:

• Ability to use computer systems including SAP, Excel, Outlook
• Strong problem solving and communication skills
• Must be able to walk/stand for an 8-hour shift with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
