Programmatic Strategy Leader - ETO Assembly

Eaton’s Electrical Sector Americas, Assemblies & Residential Solutions (ARS) division is currently seeking a Programmatic Strategy Leader – ETO Assembly. The position will be based at one of our facilities in Arden, NC, Charlotte, NC, or El Paso, TX or Greenwood, SC. The position is offering relocation assistance for candidates that reside within the U.S. only. Up to 50% travel will be required.

Reporting to the VP of Manufacturing Strategy, the Programmatic Strategy Leader is responsible for the development, deployment and execution of Engineered-To-Order, assembly manufacturing processes necessary for the successful end-to-end execution of new and existing program projects for ARS. This includes the development of business processes, standards, management systems and key metrics that will be used for managing projects, including but not limited to Switchboards, Panelboards, Low and Medium Voltage Switchgear, Automatic Transfer Switches.

In This Role You Will

• Lead ARS on end-to-end management and activities aligned to strategic deployment and execution of programmatic projects.
• Determine appropriate tools and processes to determine end to end staff levels, schedules, and resources. Manage activities and lead teams associated with ARS programmatic end to end execution across the value stream.
• Develop and deploy KPI’s across the end to end value stream that will drive performance execution and improvement (i.e. cost, cycle time, efficiency, etc)value Leverage all parts of Eaton, including Industry 4.0 team to select the right industrialization plan for current and upcoming products.
• Work with applicable functions to influence investment in. Collaborate with PDCA/CPA design and manufacturing teams, as well as with plant quality and safety functions, throughout product and process development to ensure a successful transition from design to prototype to production.
• Champion the integration of Programmatic as a business process across Electrical Sector.
• Support continuous improvement by leading teams to create and implement process controls, work instructions, and standard work, and provide relevant training to plant personnel.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution
• Minimum 7 years of experience in operations or process development
• Minimum 5 years of experience supervising or leading teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in operations / Mfg Engineering from an accredited institution
• Minimum 10 years of experience in new process development of industrial products
• Experience with the manufacture and assembly of complex assemblies
• Experience with planning and management of mid-to-large size projects
• Experience with developing business processes and change management
• Experience and knowledge of manufacturing processes in an Engineered-To-Order environment.
• Experience in developing, implementing, and improving key performance indicator metrics through strong data analysis and continuous improvement.
  
  
  

Skills

• Strong knowledge of supply chain practices; experience in supply chain or program management
• Knowledge of Six Sigma, VA/VE, and LEAN manufacturing tools
• Strong leadership skills and ability to drive change and accountability in a fast-paced, matrix organization
• Proven track recorded in motivating technical staff, managing remote locations, driving for results, and team building
• Demonstrated knowledge of PROLaunch or equivalent phase/gate development process
• Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to build, motivate and inspire a team
• Ability to think strategically and develop long-term plans that align with overall business objectives
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
• Demonstrated track record of delivering on time program execution and exceptional customer focus

The expected annual salary range for this role is $141,000 - $206,000 a year. This role is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
