Eaton’s Electrical division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Richmond, VA. Relocation assistance will be provided within the US.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $71,000 - $105,000 a year.

What You’ll Do
- Implement Lean Manufacturing concepts and Lean tools throughout the enterprise, including Value Stream Mapping, structured problem solving, root cause analysis, 5s , work instructions, etc.
- Evaluate, analyze and improve operations and engineering processes using fundamentally sound manufacturing principles to ensure excellence in safety, efficiency, productivity, cost reduction and quality.
- Initiate, develop and lead capital improvement projects including manufacturing equipment, facility enhancements and new product start-ups.
- Foster a continuous improvement culture throughout the business by creating, leading and communicating opportunities for quality, productivity, flow and safety improvement.
- Support new product development with manufacturing feasibility and industrialization activities including production layout, materials and costing for new products.
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited educational institution
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience or internship in an engineering function

- Three (3) years experience in manufacturing engineering in a high mix / low volume manufacturing environment
- Advanced degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
- AutoCAD system experience and required working knowledge and experience with computers
- Experience with MRP systems (SAP)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications
- Experience with Microsoft Project
- Knowledge of a wide variety of manufacturing processes including assembly and pull systems.
- Technical understanding and experience with Lean Manufacturing Systems and Six Sigma methodology.
- Ability to think strategically and see big picture in dynamic business environment
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment; to communicate articulately and professionally across many organizational levels and functions
- Highly motivated, works with a sense of urgency, driven to add value and deliver results
