What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator II - 2nd Shift position at Eaton?
Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Machine Operator II - 2nd Shift. The core hours are Monday through Friday from 2:15pm to 10:45pm. The rate for this position is $22.00 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, qualifications, and market and business considerations.
What you’ll do:
- Operate assigned machines/presses
- Troubleshoot various machinery problems
- Identify and tag tubs according to shop orders
- QC and document all parts run on machines
- Retrieve and enter data into SAP computer system
- Inventory components and supplies as needed to ensure efficient and timely production
- Keep work areas clean and safe
- Other various duties and responsibilities as may be assigned
Qualifications:
Basic (Required) Qualifications:
- No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of Reno, NV (50 miles) will be considered for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- A minimum of 6 months of experience with forming or bending machines
- A minimum of 6 months of experience reading drawings or blueprints
- Experience confirming that parts conform to specs using measuring tools.
Position Criteria:
- Able to operate machinery and presses safely
- Able to read, accurately interpret and produce parts from blueprints and shop drawings
- Able to identify different gauges and types of raw material
- Able to accurately read tape measure, scales, and calipers
- Able to work effectively and productively as member of a team with minimal supervision
Physical Requirements:
- Able to stand on feet continuously during working shift.
- Able to lift and bend on a continuous basis
- Able to regularly lift 35 pounds without assistance.
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as required by company policy and procedure.
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to cold/heat weather conditions while shipping doors are open
- Fast paced working, while maintaining safety priorities
