Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Inspector to join our team on Lincoln Ave in Waukesha, WI.
The hourly rate for this position is $24.45 per hour.
The core hours are 5:00 am - 1:00 pm. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times.

Primary Function:
The Inspector C performs assembly inspections of transformers/regulators at various locations in the assembly plants per established procedures. Perform electrical testing on assembled single and three-phase transformers/regulators per established procedures. Monitor conformance to quality standards.

What You’ll Do
Primary Function:
The Inspector C performs assembly inspections of transformers/regulators at various locations in the assembly plants per established procedures. Perform electrical testing on assembled single and three-phase transformers/regulators per established procedures. Monitor conformance to quality standards.
In This Function, You Will
- Perform the following tests as required per established procedures but not limited to: ratio (variety), resistance (variety), continuity, VFI, CT, and hipot (applied potential), OX (induced), impulse, power factor, load loss, and core loss
- Inspection of unit nameplates, stamp impedance value on nameplates, and secure nameplates to tested units.
- Perform visual inspection of units throughout the assembly process per established procedures; including but not limited to: Inspection of core/coil, interior of unit, paint millage, exterior of unit, and decal/stencil placement.
- Complete weekly oil sample tests.
- Perform minor maintenance of test equipment.
- Perform special routine tests when required.
- Assisting Engineering and Manufacturing in identifying and resolving shop floor problems.
- Completing various company forms to communicate inspection status and other information and to document inspection results per established procedures.
- Collecting various types of data per established procedures as require.
- Understand and follow the EQMS policies.
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- High school graduate or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of (1) One year of manufacturing experience.
- Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.
- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active-duty military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
- Education in AC/DC fundamentals, or equivalent knowledge of electrical prints / schematics (minimum of 1 year)
- Previous experience in electrical inspection / troubleshooting, or equivalent experience in electronics or electrical assembly, HVAC, or variable frequency drive assembly.
- Minimum of one year of transformer or electronics and electrical testing experience.
- Ability to work overtime when required.
- Ability to interpret prints and applicable engineering and quality specifications.
- Ability to meet or exceed quality and productivity standards.
- Demonstrated effective communication with team and supervisor.
- Ability to lift up to 50 LBS; bend, twist, grab, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, use both hands to lift and lower materials, and perform all other essential duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
