What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Control Assemblies Electrical Test Specialist position at Eaton Manufacturing?
At Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division in Arden, NC, we build power distribution and control assemblies that keep facilities running. As an Electrical Technician I, you will champion product integrity—validating performance, refining processes, and ensuring every shipment meets engineered specifications and customer expectations.
Your impact- Own final inspection and functional testing for structures, units, panels, panelboards, component parts, controls, and complete assemblies.
- Translate schematics and engineered instructions into precise test setups and procedures.
- Diagnose test failures, uncover root causes, and coordinate corrective actions with Engineering, Quality, and production leadership.
- Support customer inspectors and verify orders are complete and compliant.
- Drive continuous improvement across assembly, wiring, calibration, and testing; document and confirm all required changes and repairs.
- Maintain test equipment and calibration; produce accurate records and reports.
- Model safe work practices, PPE use, hygiene, and housekeeping.
- Shift: 3:30pm – 2:00am
- Rate: $26.50 per hour
The pay rate is a benchmark; actual compensation reflects experience, skillset, qualifications, and market/business conditions.
What you bring- High school diploma or GED (accredited).
- Minimum 2 years in power or electrical distribution.
- Demonstrated experience troubleshooting complex electrical circuits.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.

- Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the 50-mile requirement.
- Associate’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Technology/Engineering, Electromechanical, Mechatronics, or related field.
- 1 year of schematic reading/interpretation experience.
