Distribution Order Picking Technician

Role highlights

• Shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM (2nd shift)
• Pay: $18.22 per hour $1.00/hour shift differential
• Pay ranges serve as guidelines; actual compensation reflects skills, experience, qualifications, and market conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Operate within our AutoStore system to receive, put away, locate, and pick finished goods for customer orders.
• Perform warehouse functions including picking, cycle counting, and put-away using automated equipment.
• Complete inventory transactions via barcode scanners, touchscreens, and computer keyboards.
• Handle special labeling; palletize items for shipment and conduct pallet-jack operations.
• Manage dunnage, stage cardboard boxes, and maintain orderly work areas aligned to Eaton’s 5S standards.
• Follow all safety protocols; ensure the quality of your output and perform waste/material management per applicable regulations.
• Work collaboratively to support Bussmann business objectives.

Minimum qualifications

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• 1 year of computer experience.
• Local candidacy required: must reside within 50 miles of Ellisville; no relocation assistance provided.

Preferred experience

• Hands-on exposure to automated robots or robotic material handling.

Role requirements

• Lift up to 35 lbs.
• Comfort with repetitive motion, standing, and stooping.
• Ability to stand for the full 8-hour shift.
