What are the responsibilities and job description for the Treatment Therapist position at Eaton County?
Under the direction of the Youth Facility Director, or their designee, assists in the development, implementation and supervision of programs, and staff in the treatment programs and detention units. Provides individual and group therapy to residents and their families. Responsible for collaboration with the Juvenile Court providing updates on residents.
Starting pay is dependent on an applicant's relevant experience.

- Provides family, group and individual counseling for residents. Provides therapy services throughout all treatment programming.
- Assists in planning and coordinating treatment programs, under the review of the Facility Director, or their designee, which includes development, implementation and review of programs such as treatment services, counseling and crisis intervention.
- Assists in the completion of court reports and attends Juvenile Court review hearings when necessary.
- Conducts mental health screenings for all residents. Provides crisis intervention and counseling to all residents as needed.
- Participates in treatment admission meetings with various caseworkers and professionals to determine if a youth is an appropriate candidate for admission and makes recommendations to the Court.
- Participates in treatment team meetings.
- Transports resident to Court hearings, medical appointments, and other location as necessary.
- Assists in delivering training to staff on various topics related to programming.
- Assists the Director in the development, implementation and enforcement of policies for the Youth Facility.
- Assists in regular audits to ensure the completeness and accuracy of resident files. Completes treatment reports and ensures that reporting requirements for licensing are met.
- Assists the Director, or their designee, in any other aspect of the Youth Facility operations.

EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or other related field.
Experience: One or more years of post-master’s experience working in a related field.
Preferred:
- Two or more years’ experience in providing counseling services to adolescents, preferably in a criminal justice setting.
- Experience providing Substance Use Disorder (SUD) services to adolescents.
Other Requirements:
- Currently valid and active State licensure.
- Valid and active State drivers license.

Salary : $57,158 - $74,172
