What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parks Seasonal Operation Staff position at Eaton County?
Applications are being accepted for seasonal positions with the Eaton County Parks Department.
Starting pay is dependent on an applicant's relevant experience and the position level they are offered. Pay ranges between $15 and $18 an hour.
**Applications are accepted until there are sufficient numbers of qualified applications or a qualified candidate is identified. This position could close at any time.**
Spots available – As early as March, but hiring will continue through June.
Vacations are not allowed.
A number of positions continue into October.
Summer Jobs position: Seasonal Park Staff.
Responsible for enforcing park rules and regulations and performing public relations.

SEASONAL PARK STAFF
- Clean shelters, restrooms and other facilities and replenish supplies.
- Trash, litter and debris pick up and collection.
- Assist in landscaping, construction and trail maintenance projects.
- Operate power and hand equipment including some mowing/trimming.
- Assist in maintenance on departmental equipment and vehicles.
- Set up reserved park areas, including moving additional tables and trash barrels as needed.

Must be at least eighteen year of age.
Must be willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
Must have a valid Michigan Drivers License and a good driving record. Subject to a criminal background check, driver's license check and pre-employment physical.
Must have dependable transportation.
Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with the public.
