Maintenance and Tool Room Manager

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Maintenance and Tool Room Manager. This position is based in South Milwaukee, WI. The expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $126000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. ## What you’ll do: Position Overview The Maintenance and Tool Room Manager is responsible for leading a team of Skilled Trade employees to meet the safety, quality, and production goals of the facility. In this role, you will organize, plan and monitor the repair, replacement, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of equipment and tooling, work with Skilled Trades and Operations on team assignments and priorities and identify, plan and execute individual and team training initiatives. In This Function, you will: • Lead the maintenance team in maintaining and repair of various types of equipment including, but not limited to vacuum brazing, epoxy molding, machining and assembly equipment, conveyance, fans, blowers, motors, pumps, cylinders, and the control systems utilized within. • Lead the tooling team in developing, maintaining and repairing tooling including but not limited to epoxy molds, fixtures, gauges, assembly carts, tools and tool holders. • Work with contractors on maintenance of facility equipment including chillers, HVAC, cranes, buildings & grounds, etc. • Support capital investment process through participation in setting strategy, defining projects, creating approval packages, and executing upon assignments. • Support product & process development projects utilizing our tool room resources. • Provide broad practical and technical knowledge of all areas of maintenance. • Establish and plan staffing requirements to ensure support of the operations including management of outside contractors. • Provide effective equipment troubleshooting assistance and identify solutions to improve uptime and reliability. • Plan and direct scheduled or unplanned maintenance and tooling activities and establish priorities in keeping with effective operations and cost factors. • Actively participate in lean and continuous improvement activities related to the facility including utilization of predictive, preventive, and condition-based maintenance methodologies. • Develop and maintain an effective workforce through training, staffing, development, appraisal, and motivation. Build and improve employee contribution, ownership, and engagement • Manage inventory of spare parts, supplies, and materials required for effective maintenance and improvement of the facility, equipment, and tooling. • Develop, deploy, and update plantwide CMMS system to ensure timely and efficient resolution to maintenance needs. • Lead MESH (Safety) categories that correspond to maintenance and facility activities. • Ensure information flow to staff on all company activities, policies, etc. • Perform other related tasks and assignments, as necessary. • Act as a main contact for the Emergency response team of the facility. ## Qualifications: Required (Basic) Qualifications: * High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution * Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing/maintenance environment * No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of 50 miles of South Milwaukee, WI will be considered. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1, H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, 1-485 job profitability, etc. * Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred) • Experience with SAP planning and ordering functions • Experience implementing and utilizing CMMS systems. • Knowledge of electrical test equipment & PLCs • Knowledge of machining operations including CNC Mills and Lathes and automated manufacturing, CNC and robotic operations ## Skills: Position Success Criteria • Ability to deal with ambiguity and make sound decisions • Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems • Ability to make impactful changes to Eaton’s maintenance system.
