CI Analyst

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a CI Analyst. This role is at our Nacogdoches, TX facility. Relocation assistance will be provided. The expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $126000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. ## What you’ll do: The purpose of this critical role within the organization is to support and drive Business Unit performance improvements using CI tools and encourage the Continuous Improvement culture. Your key focus will be to support and ultimately lead Level 3 Rapid Improvement Events as well as enabling the sustainment and implementation of future state improvements coming out of these events. CI site focus will be on the development, expansion and sustainment of Lean Tool Leaders and Experts across 5S and Value Stream Mapping as well as Problem Solving Kaizen. In this role you will: • Be the Capital Coordinator for the site • Build ELSS organizational capability and develop local ELSS/CI Tool Champions by providing training and consulting support • Implement identified Eaton best practices and drive integration of best practices internally • Provide regular ELSS/CI status updates • Direct problem-solving activities and coordinate corrective action plans for production problems • Plan and assist in designing strategies to improve positive employee relations and increase overall engagement • Plan, facilitate and support Business Process Improvement (BPI), Integrated Deck Building (IDB), and Rapid Improvement Events (RIE) • Lead Six Sigma projects to achieve desired goals • Coaches and mentors Production and Quality Engineers and Technicians in quality concepts and applications • Coach and mentor other functions (EHS, Production, etc.) in root cause analysis and problem-solving tools/methods (A3, 8D, etc.) • Support annual self-assessments are completed at each plant to include but not limited to ELSS, OpA, as well as formal assessments when required. These assessments must identify gaps driving maturity levels, annual action plans to improve and include a process to monitor progress. • Support the achievement of Plant Cost Out goals as established by Profit Plan. Manage and update Cost-out hooper and pipeline. • Develop and maintain operational standard reporting and analysis to support engineering cost out efforts • Develop and maintain customer service scorecards • Manage special projects as assigned including VSM, RIE, and other metric tracking reports • Support RIE events as assigned • Utilize change management techniques such as ADKAR to effectively drive and sustain process improvements • Participate in the process of obtaining certification and recertification of ISO 9001, ISO 14000, etc. ## Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. • Three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing and/or operations environment. • Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution. • Working knowledge of the use of problem-solving tools • Production data analyst experience • Strong Excel skills including pivot tables, macros, charts, and graphs • Experience utilizing SAP ## Skills: • Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques – i.e. value stream mapping, one piece flow, etc. • Strong interpersonal and planning skills with proven ability to lead change through both direct and indirect (influencing) abilities • Can effectively and comfortably speak to different levels of the organization; senior leaders to the factory floor • Understanding of problem solving methodologies used in determining root cause and formulating corrective action(s) - i.e. thought maps, 8D, root cause analysis, Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis, Gage R & R, control charts, Pareto charts, etc. • Proficiency in Office 365 • Knowledge of industry and customer specific quality processes (i.e., ISO9001 etc). • Proficiency in MiniTab; knowledge of Computer Aided Design / Computer Aided Manufacturing. • Knowledge of Six Sigma concepts and tools as they relate to minimizing process / product variability – i.e. regression analysis, hypothesis testing, etc. • Knowledge of ELSS and CIF • Coaching, mentor, learner, teacher • Excellent communication skills We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
