Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling components used in our industrial air compressors. Your expertise will help ensure our products meet rigorous quality standards while maintaining efficient production workflows.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate and assemble parts
- Perform welding techniques to join various metals including sheet metal and expanded metal
- Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and machining equipment to shape and prepare materials
- Measure materials precisely using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices to ensure accurate fabrication
- Operate rigging equipment and forklifts safely for handling heavy components or assemblies
- Assemble components according to schematics or assembly instructions while maintaining mechanical integrity
Qualifications
- Proven manufacturing background with a focus on fabrication or welding
- Skilled in MIG, TIG, FCAW welding techniques
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings with confidence
- Proficient in using calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks
- Knowledge of rigging procedures, pipe threading, soldering, machining, and ductwork fabrication is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge related to assembly processes and system integration
- Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklifts safely is preferred
