Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Palletizer to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing compressors in their first stage on the assembly line using various heavy equipment and materials handling tools. Your energy and precision will help ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate pallet jacks, clamp trucks, forklifts, cranes, and other heavy equipment to load, unload, and move materials within the shop and warehouse
- Palletize products accurately according to specifications, ensuring stability and safety during transit
- Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems to track inventory and update records
- Assist with bill of material pulling processes
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to OSHA safety standards at all times
- Collaborate with supervisors to optimize storage layouts and improve workflow efficiency
Requirements
- Prior experience in warehouse distribution or materials handling environments preferred
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, crane systems, and pallet jacks
- Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse machinery and safety protocols (OSHA compliance)
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for order processing
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in order picking and load/unload tasks
- Valid certification for forklift operation or heavy equipment operation is preferred
