Position Overview
Eaton Compressor & Fabrication is seeking an experienced Specification & Owners Manuals Writer / Daily Production Scheduler to join our team. This dual-role position requires a detail-oriented professional who can create precise technical documentation while managing daily production scheduling operations in our air compressor manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Writing & Documentation:
- Develop and maintain product specifications, technical manuals, and user guides for air compressor systems
- Create clear, accurate assembly instructions and maintenance documentation
- Write and update operating procedures and safety guidelines
- Prepare parts lists, and diagrams, with technical illustrations assistance from our CAD Technician
- Revise existing manuals based on product updates and customer feedback
- When applicable work with our media team to generate the support videos needed
Production Scheduling (Sage100):
- Plan and coordinate production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements
- Monitor workflow and adjust schedules to optimize efficiency and resource utilization
- Coordinate with fabrication, assembly, and purchasing departments
- Raise the red flag when material is short to prevent production delays
- Communicate schedule changes and priorities to production teams
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in related industrial equipment or automotive industry’s
- Strong technical writing skills with ability to communicate complex information clearly
- Experience with production scheduling and manufacturing operations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling software
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
