Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Assembly Technician, 1st Shift.
The rate for this position is $20.00 per hour. The core hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 am until 3:30 pm.
This position is eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you’ll do:
- Work from manufacturing information, electrical and mechanical drawings, sketches, established procedures, and written or verbal instructions from supervisors or engineering; read and interpret mechanical drawings as required.
- Mount and install electrical and mechanical equipment, including mimic bus, painting floors, covers, and related components as needed.
- Receive, pick, label, pack, and prepare materials and assemblies for shipment.
- Operate forklifts and/or cranes as required.Maintain minimum Kanban inventory levels and report material shortages to appropriate personnel.
- Inspect assemblies for loose or missing hardware and overall cleanliness.
- Respond to engineering change notices, customer-requested modifications, and product development needs.
Qualifications:
Basic:
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Skilled in the safe and efficient use of hand tools and pneumatic (air) tools.
- Eaton does not provide immigration sponsorship or support for this position. Preferred:
- 1 year of industrial manufacturing experience South Carolina Manufacturing Certification (SCMC) or equivalent
Position Criteria:
- Strong verbal and written communication, persuasive abilities, and analytical problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals and teams in a collaborative environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as business needs require.
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools, step ladders, and cranes to assemble products and verify quality in a Lean environment. Proficiency with standard computer applications (Microsoft Outlook and Teams) and job‑specific systems such as ENOVIA.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach at or above shoulder level, grip, and use hands for handling and feeling.
- Frequently required to stoop, lift, carry, push, and pull.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and push/pull 50 lbs. or more with or without accommodation Vision requirements include near and far vision, depth perception, and color discrimination.
