Duties
- Respond promptly to emergency calls for water, flood, fire, mold, and asbestos-related incidents, demonstrating emergency response readiness at all times
- Perform water extraction, drying, dehumidification, and flood restoration using specialized equipment and techniques
- Conduct cleaning tasks including carpet cleaning, debris removal, and surface sanitation to restore properties to pre-loss condition
- Execute fire restoration processes such as soot cleanup, smoke odor removal, and fire damage assessment
- Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE), respiratory protection gear, and follow strict safety protocols during all operations
- Operate company vehicles safely for on-site visits and transport of tools and equipment
- Apply industry-standard methods like Xactimate for damage assessment and documentation; use hand tools and power tools effectively in various restoration tasks
- Assist with mold remediation and asbestos abatement procedures when required
- Maintain clear communication with clients to ensure excellent customer service throughout the restoration process
- Adhere to all safety guidelines including PPE use, respiratory protection, and proper handling of hazardous materials
Skills
- Proven experience in the restoration industry or construction environment with knowledge of water damage restoration techniques
- Strong emergency response readiness with the ability to perform under pressure during on-call situations
- Skilled in operating hand tools, power tools, carpet cleaning equipment, and company vehicles safely
- Familiarity with Xactimate or similar estimating software is preferred for accurate damage documentation
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude toward client interactions
- Knowledge of safety protocols including PPE use, respiratory protection, mold remediation procedures, asbestos abatement practices, and general safety standards
- Ability to follow detailed instructions while maintaining flexibility to adapt to changing project needs
- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks such as lifting heavy equipment and working in confined or challenging environments
