Job Description
The Assistant QSR Manager supports the QSR Manager in daily operations, focusing on team development, training, and consistent execution of service, food safety, and coffee production standards. Reports directly to the QSR Manager and supervises the QSR staff of service leads, baristas and sales associates.
- Supports execution of daily and weekly operational QSR tasks
- Actively manage shifts, ensuring smooth service and strong guest experience
- Support staffing coverage and real-time labor adjustments, serving as manager-on-duty as needed
- Assist with inventory counts, ordering, and product organization, emphasizing coffee and specialty beverage production
- Leads onboarding and training of new hires in QSR, including Italian coffee service and Bassett coffee production
- Ensures all team members are trained on SOPs, food safety standards (Serve Safe), and service protocols
- Provides ongoing coaching and feedback to elevate team performance and operational execution
- Fosters a positive, accountable, and team-oriented environment
- Supports employee engagement, retention, and training initiatives
- Maintains cleanliness, organization, and compliance across all QSR areas
- Performs other duties as required or assigned
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in food service or hospitality leadership
- Serve Safe certification required
- Hands-on experience in Italian coffee service, Bassett coffee production, and QSR food production
- Strong focus on training, coaching, and team development
- High-energy, hands-on approach to operations
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Job Requirements
- Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
- Ability to operate equipment such as manual espresso machine, drink blender, and cash register
