Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and personable Food Runner and Host to join our dynamic team! In this multifaceted role, you will be the friendly face welcoming guests, ensuring smooth seating arrangements, and delivering exceptional service throughout their dining experience. You will also assist in food preparation, delivery, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage seating arrangements efficiently to optimize flow and guest satisfaction
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
• Deliver food promptly from the kitchen to tables, ensuring proper presentation and food safety standards are maintained
• Assist in food preparation tasks including basic meal assembly, garnishing, and portioning when needed
• Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, clearing dishes, and supporting dishwashing efforts to uphold hygiene standards
• Support the kitchen with light prep work such as chopping ingredients or organizing supplies during busy periods
• Provide in-person customer service by addressing guest inquiries, managing dietary restrictions, and ensuring guest relations are positive throughout their visit

Requirements

• Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service environments preferred; hospitality or restaurant experience highly valued
• Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette for taking reservations or answering guest questions
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
• Basic math skills for order processing and cash handling responsibilities
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
• Familiarity with culinary tasks such as knife skills, meat cutting, or catering experience is a plus but not required
• A friendly attitude with a passion for guest service and teamwork; previous banquet or hotel experience is advantageous
