Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Renton, WA, for an Order Fulfillment Manager. The role oversees the end-to-end process of transforming customer orders into delivered products. The manager will is responsible for coordinating and synchronizing production, quality control, and supply chain functions to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate records and fostering strong communication with internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
- Workflow Oversight: Direct the entire fulfillment lifecycle from order receipt through final shipment to ensure all customer requirements and deadlines are met.
- Team Leadership: Manage and coach three direct reports (Production Lead, QC Lead, and Inventory/Supply Chain Specialist) to maintain high performance and accountability.
- Process Execution & Improvement: Ensure the team strictly follows established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for assembly and testing, while proactively recommending data-backed improvements to streamline workflows.
- Production Scheduling: Take real-time inventory and lead-time data from the three direct reports to create and maintain a rolling 3-6 month production schedule. Serve as the primary point of contact for order status, providing accurate dates based on the current production queue.
- Resource Allocation: Coordinate between the three leads to ensure the right personnel and materials are ready for each stage of the build and QC process.
- Shipping Coordination: Finalize the "order-to-shipment" loop by ensuring all technical documentation, quality sign-offs, and logistics details are complete before dispatch.
- Leadership: Contribute to company strategy and execution through participation in EOS L10 leadership meetings.
Qualifications
Experience/Education
Must have one or both of the following:
- Experience: 3–5 years in a fulfillment, operations, or manufacturing management role. Experience in a "high-mix, low-volume" manufacturing environment (like scientific instruments) is highly preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration.
Skills
- Leadership: Proven track record of managing technical teams and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Systems Proficiency: Proven ability to build and manage production calendars. Experience using an MRP or Order Management Systems (OMS) to track progress and manage inventory is preferred.
- Interpersonal: Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Pay: $80,000 - $90,000 annual salary depending on relevant experience.
