Job Description: The Veterinary Assistant is a key member of the team supporting and assisting the veterinarians and ensuring the safety of pets, clients and other associates, and the continuity of quality veterinary care.

Duties:

• Assisting veterinarians in exam rooms
• Client communication
• Obtaining patient histories
• Animal care and restraint
• Keeping the clinic clean and disinfected
• Medication administration

Applicants must:

• have reliable transportation, and must be able to work mornings/afternoons, evenings and weekends.
• be able to lift 40lbs, get down on the floor to restrain dogs.
• know basic math, be familiar with Microsoft office and basic computer skills.'
• Hours per week: 20-39

Job Duties include:

• Greeting visitors
• Scheduling
• Correspondence
• Stocking supplies
• Sorting and sending mail
• Answering and routing phone calls

Financial Duties:

• Processing payments

Typical end time:

• 6PM

Typical start time:

• 9AM
