DIRECTOR OF MARKETING & GROWTH
CONFIDENTIAL AUTOMOTIVE DEALERSHIP
Full-Time | On-Site | $90,000–$120,000 Base Performance Bonus
A growing franchised automotive dealership is looking for a high-level Director of Marketing & Growth to help us aggressively expand throughout a 100-mile market.
This is NOT a social media manager position.
We need someone who understands automotive retail, knows how to generate traffic and can connect marketing dollars directly to appointments, vehicle sales, vehicle acquisitions, service customers and gross profit.
Your Mission
Help turn our dealership into a dominant regional automotive brand. You will work directly with ownership and have responsibility for the dealership's overall marketing strategy, execution, vendors and performance.
You Will Own
- Google Ads / Paid Search
- Facebook & Instagram advertising
- SEO, local search, website conversion and landing pages
- New and used inventory marketing
- Truck, SUV and model-specific campaigns
- “We Buy Cars” acquisition campaigns
- Email/SMS database marketing
- Video and social content strategy
- Google Business Profile and reputation
- Autotrader, Cars.com and third-party vendors
- Service and commercial/fleet marketing
- Retargeting, budget management, attribution and ROI reporting
We Care About Results
We are not hiring someone to report likes, followers and impressions. We want someone who understands:
- MARKETING
- LEAD
- APPOINTMENT
- SHOW
- SALE
- GROSS
You should be able to tell ownership:
- What we spent.
- What it produced.
- What we sold.
- What each sale cost us.
- If a campaign works, scale it. If it doesn't, fix it or kill it.
Who We Want
- Automotive dealership marketing experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience with Google Ads, Meta Ads, GA4, Dealer.com, VinSolutions, vAuto, Autotrader, Cars.com and Google Business Profile is highly valuable.
- We're looking for someone who is competitive, data-driven, creative, fast-moving and highly accountable. You must be comfortable working directly with ownership, managing multiple vendors and being held accountable for measurable growth.
First 90 Days
- 30 Days Audit every marketing vendor, campaign, website, CRM source and advertising dollar.
- 60 Days Launch aggressive regional conquest, inventory, vehicle-acquisition and content campaigns.
- 90 Days Show us what's producing sales, scale the winners and eliminate wasted spending.
Compensation
- $90,000–$120,000 base salary significant performance bonus. Compensation can be higher for an exceptional candidate with a proven automotive track record.
