Job Summary:
The Forklift Sales Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing the end-to-end logistics process supporting forklift sales operations. This role ensures timely delivery, accurate order processing, inventory coordination, and seamless communication between sales teams, customers, warehouses, and transportation providers. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and track forklift orders from sale through delivery and installation
- Collaborate with sales representatives to ensure accurate order details, pricing, and customer requirements
- Schedule shipments, deliveries, and pickups with carriers and internal logistics teams
- Create and manage purchase orders for freight and transportation services
- Maintain inventory records and coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure product availability
- Prepare and manage shipping documentation, invoices, and delivery confirmations
- Monitor delivery timelines and proactively resolve delays or issues
- Communicate order status updates to customers and internal stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies
- Assist in forecasting demand and supporting inventory planning
- Maintain accurate records in CRM and ERP systems
- Perform clerical tasks as needed to support daily operations and ensure smooth workflow
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
- 2 years of experience in logistics coordination, sales support, or supply chain operations
- Experience in material handling equipment industry (forklift experience strongly preferred)
- Experience preparing and reviewing shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, packing lists, commercial invoices, and related paperwork
- Ability to match shipping documents to work orders and review for accuracy prior to accounting submission
- Experience verifying inbound shipments by comparing packing lists and receivers to system inventory and resolving discrepancies
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and logistics/ERP software
- Ability to problem-solve and work under pressure
