Overview
Easy Recycling is looking for an experienced Health & Safety Supervisor to oversee the company’s health and safety program. We are looking for a candidate who is hands-on and will make the current program their own by taking full control of safety training and promoting jobsite hazard awareness. Candidate will need to be comfortable working with and managing workers across diverse disciplines and skillsets to help build a cohesive, capable, and safe team. Candidate needs to be proficient with computers, software, and technology and have a strong understanding of MSHA guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervises day to day operational health and safety activities at the Easy Recycling yard and jobsites
- Training Coordinator and provides leadership through team building, training, coaching, and mentoring.
- Supports MSHA training program activities
- Ensures legal compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Serves as an incident investigator
- Develops training presentations, technical reports, and standard operating procedures as necessary
- Provides support and assists with managing and resolving emergency situations
- Conduct orientation and training of Employees
- Promote quick return to work
- Familiar with ISNetworld and BROWZ
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience with Safety Supervisor experience
- MSHA Part 77 certification (preferred)
- Minimum of a high school diploma
- Willing to travel
- Valid driver’s license
- Candidate must abide by a drug-free workplace policy and are subject to testing
- Working knowledge of state compliance and regulations (e.g., MSHA, OSHA and Hazwoper)
- Strong written and oral communication skills
