Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our healthcare team. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to assist in implementing treatment plans that help patients improve their physical function and mobility. This role is essential in providing quality care across various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, home health, and acute care environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of human physiology and demonstrate a commitment to patient-centered care.
Duties
- Assist the Physical Therapist in developing and implementing individualized care plans for patients.
- Provide therapeutic interventions such as exercises, manual therapy, and modalities to enhance patient recovery.
- Monitor patient progress and report changes or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, exercises, and home care strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments, progress notes, and outcomes.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in areas such as geriatrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, and trigger point therapy.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Knowledge of human physiology and anatomy, as well as experience in geriatrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, or acute care, is preferred.
- Familiarity with various therapeutic techniques including trigger point therapy and outpatient rehabilitation practices.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
- Ability to adapt treatment plans based on individual patient needs and progress.

Pay: $28.85 - $34.74 per hour
