Easy Does It, Inc. (EDI) is seeking a dynamic and strategic Marketing and Community Outreach Coordinator to lead our engagement initiatives and strengthen our presence within the community. This role requires a proactive individual with expertise in digital marketing, content creation, and relationship building to promote EDI’s mission and expand our outreach efforts. The ideal candidate will be familiar with substance use disorder (SUD) treatment and recovery, and have a strong background in multichannel marketing, social media marketing, and analytics to effectively connect with diverse audiences and foster meaningful partnerships. Summary
EDI’s Marketing and Community Outreach Coordinator is responsible for implementing all aspects of Easy Does It, Inc.’s community engagement strategies, recovery events, and marketing programs and services to referral partners, the recovery community, and the general public. This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position reporting to the Executive Director.
Pay Scale: $52,000 - $62,400 for full-time salary; or $25 - $30/hr for part-time, hourly
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Serve as EDI’s brand ambassador and advocate for EDI’s mission to improve the quality of life of individuals recovering from substance use disorders (SUD).
- Identify, develop, maintain, and expand relationships with referral partners and community organizations by making and hosting regular site visits to and from EDI.
- Develop and maintain marketing materials about EDI programs and services.
- Manage multichannel marketing and digital communications on platforms such as Constant Contact, Facebook, EDI’s website, and others to increase outreach to referral partners, community organizations, the local recovery community, and the general public.
- Develop and implement plans for expanding EDI’s presence throughout Pennsylvania.
- Plan and manage EDI’s signature recovery events such as Soberstock, Halloween Party, Thanksgiving Dinner, EDI Holiday Dinner, and New Year’s Eve Gala, and others.
- Identify, engage, recruit, and manage volunteers to assist with recovery events.
- Market and manage rentals of EDI’s Fellowship Hall for recovery events.
- Work collaboratively and seamlessly with EDI management and staff to identify new potential funding, individual, private, corporate, school and other organization partners.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools including SEO, social media marketing, performance marketing, email marketing, and marketing automation platforms.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build relationships across diverse communities and stakeholders, including the ability to communicate persuasively about the organization’s mission, programs, and services.
- Strong organizational/time management skills and ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends and to travel when necessary.
Education and Training
- Two years’ experience of marketing and community outreach with an SUD treatment provider or recovery organization preferred. Familiarity with the SUD treatment continuum of care, homelessness, and various pathways of recovery required.
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred. Lesser education with demonstrated relevant work experience may be substituted for higher education.
- If recovering from an SUD or MH condition, must demonstrate a minimum of two years of continuous engagement in a pathway of recovery.
