Northcutt Residential Treatment serves youth boys for behavioral health. The center's services are grounded in the philosophy of Trauma-Informed Care, which has demonstrated positive outcomes for victims of trauma. Using a multi-disciplinary team approach, we wrap services around the child and family to help them heal, and to transition back to home, school, and the community.
Now hiring great people for the Residential Specialist/Behavioral Health Technician staff: Full-time position available for 1st and 2nd shifts. PRN on all shifts are also available.

The Behavioral Health Technician will be responsible for adhering to the daily activity schedule while providing quality and effective therapeutic interventions to boys between the ages of 6 and 12. The ideal candidates will be a caring, empathetic and have an understanding of mental health and substance abuse issues. This position will include interacting with the kids including providing direction, playing games and completing activities. This position has includes cleaning and laundry tasks as well.
The Residential Shift Leader is the supervisor of the Residential Specialists on their scheduled shift and is responsible for regularly directing their work on the designated shift. The Residential Shift Leader will ensure that the staff of the program demonstrates a strong commitment to providing trauma informed services within the milieu setting. The Shift Leader ensures the day-to-day shift functioning of the unit and overall operations, decisions, documentation, and activities of the unit are completed accurately. Must be diplomatic with multiple types of persons and personalities. They are involved in the recommendation as to hiring, firing, advancement, promotion or any other change of status of employees on their shift. May provide on-call services to assigned program.
Requirements:
- Associate's Degree or higher in related field (Social Work, Criminal Justice and Psychology) OR High School Graduate with 1 year experience in a residential setting.
- Valid driver's license, car insurance, and safe driving record desired.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- This position requires candidates to pass Safe Crisis Management (SCM) training, which requires individuals to be physically capable of sustained, intense exertion. May not have a physical disability or condition that would prevent one from participating in the physical restraint techniques and exercises (such as dropping repeatedly to knees, supporting another adult's weight, twisting and turning maneuvers, intense physical exertion etc.)
1st shift - 7:30am - 3:30pm
2nd shift - 3:30pm - 11:30pm
3rd shift - 11:30pm - 7:30am
