What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavioral Health Residential Specialist Working with Adults-Full-time and Pool/PRN position at Eastway Behavioral Healthcare?
Eastway Behavioral Healthcare is a private, not-for-profit provider of mental health, substance abuse, housing, residential, and employment services in the Miami Valley. We offer housing options for adult clients needing fully staffed, 24-hour a day, safe housing and supportive services and are currently in need of a Residential Specialist. The goal of these facilities is to increase mental health stability while decreasing homelessness and hospitalization due to lack of resources. This is an entry level position as a Qualified Mental Health Specialist.
We are currently hiring for a full-time position for 1st Shift as well as Pool (PRN) on 1st and 2nd shifts.
What you will do:
As a Residential Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the daily functioning and well-being of our residents by:
- Managing day-to-day operations of your assigned residential unit during your shift
(including preparing meals)
- Providing clients with medically necessary billable services and documenting them in CareLogic (our electronic medical records system)
- Ensuring all activities and procedures comply with licensing regulations, helping units pass audits and inspections
- Upholding all unit rules, guidelines, and safety procedures
- Collaborating with residents, families, team members, and outside agencies to address issues and support client needs
Requirements: H.S. Diploma/GED or higher education (proof of education required) and valid driver license with car insurance.
1st shift hours would be 7am-3pm
2nd shift hours would be 3pm-11pm
The pool positions would work a flexible schedule and we would want the ideal candidate to be available for a variety of shifts while normally working 1st or 2nd shifts. Pool positions typically also work 8 hour shifts.
