The office is a patient-focused, community-rooted dental practice committed to delivering exceptional care in a welcoming and respectful environment. We are currently a small but growing office, looking for an experienced Financial Coordinator / Front Desk to join our team.
This position is ideal for someone who is organized, self starter with excellent communication skills, professional, detail-oriented, and confident managing both patient communication and financial systems within a dental practice. Remote support is available from any trouble spots.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and manage check-in/check-out
- Coordinate schedules to optimize patient flow and provider time
- Verify insurance benefits and explain coverage clearly to patients
- Present treatment plans, estimates, and financial arrangements
- Post patient and insurance payments accurately
- Balance daily sheets and reconcile accounts
- Manage collections and outstanding patient balances
- Handle incoming calls, voicemails, and patient communications
- Maintain accurate patient records in Open Dental
- Support smooth daily front office operations
- Resolve patient concerns professionally and compassionately
Qualifications
- Prior dental front office experience is required
- Experience with Open Dental software preferred
- Strong understanding of dental insurance and collections
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment though it is mostly easy going.
- Leadership experience is a plus
