What are the responsibilities and job description for the Performance Physical Therapist position at Eastside Movement Company?
We’re looking for a Performance Physical Therapist to join our growing team in Austin!
Our mission is to radically change how people in our community train, recover, and perform through full-spectrum physical therapy and strength training.
We’re creating an environment that enables us and other physical therapists to have the job we’ve always dreamed of.
We work with active individuals who are committed to improving their health and performance. Every session is one-on-one for an hour. Our approach emphasizes individualization and blends manual therapy, corrective exercise, strength training, education, and coaching.
We have big goals for the future and are looking for the right person to help build and grow Eastside Movement Company with us.
Qualities we’re looking for:
- A drive to deliver exceptional care and help people make real, lasting changes
- Excitement about working in an out-of-network setting with autonomy over how you practice
- A strong commitment to growth as both a clinician and a person - we provide tailored training and support because your growth drives ours
- Curiosity and enthusiasm for biomechanics and the nervous system (a bit of nerdiness is a plus)
- A team-first mindset - you enjoy collaborating, learning together, and contributing to a positive, high-performing environment
- The ability to build trust, connect with people, and respond effectively to their needs
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in complex situations
- An athletic background and a genuine appreciation for movement
- Currently licensed (or eligible) to practice physical therapy in Texas
Bonuses:
- Experience and current involvement with running, cycling, strength training, or triathlon
- Already following or learning from David Grey, the Postural Restoration Institute, Functional Patterns, or Gait Happens
Other benefits of working with us:
- Dedicated mentorship hours - we don’t just say it, we build it into your schedule
- Medical, dental, vision, and disability coverage
- Full caseload of 25-35 visits per week - you choose what fits you
- Continuing education stipend
- Ownership that genuinely prioritizes work-life balance
- A team that works hard, laughs often, and has each other’s backs
- Clinic music you’ll actually enjoy
- Active, motivated clients who want to improve and put in the work
