Eastside Environmental Pros (EEP) is a growing ecological consulting firm dedicated to protecting and restoring the natural environment while helping clients move their projects forward responsibly. We work across the Puget Sound region on wetlands, streams, and critical areas permitting, and we produce high-quality graphics and figures that make complex environmental information clear for regulators, clients, and the community.
We’re seeking an Entry-Level Environmental Mapping Technician to join our expanding team. This role is ideal for someone who loves precision, cares about environmental protection, and wants to apply technical drafting skills to meaningful projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare critical areas figures, site plans, and mitigation graphics using AutoCAD.
- Translate field data, survey information, and raw data into clear and accurate plan sets.
- Work closely with ecologists, project managers, and landscape designers to refine layouts and ensure compliance with jurisdictional standards.
- Maintain drawing templates, layers, and title blocks consistent with company standards.
- Provide drafting support for reports, permit submittals, and construction-ready drawings.
- Assist with quality control of graphics and figure production for regulatory submittals.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Drafting, CAD Technology, or related field (Bachelor’s a plus).
- 1–3 years’ experience with AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with environmental or civil engineering projects (wetlands, grading, stormwater, or similar) strongly desired.
- Working knowledge of GIS (QGIS, ArcGIS or similar) is a plus but not necessary.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to follow established drafting standard operating procedures.
- Excellent communication skills and willingness to collaborate in a small, supportive team.
