Eastside Consultants, Inc., a land surveying and civil engineering firm in Issaquah since 1977, is seeking an experienced Survey Crew/Party Chief to lead field operations for a wide range of boundary, topographic, design, and construction‑related survey projects throughout Issaquah and the surrounding areas. This role is ideal for a motivated survey professional who enjoys working outdoors, solving technical problems, and guiding crew members in producing accurate, dependable survey data.
About the Role
As a Party Chief, you will independently manage field survey tasks and direct crew members on projects such as:
- Boundary, topographic, and design surveys for local landowners
- Subdivisions, boundary line adjustments, and development‑related survey work
- Mountain survey operations at Alpental, Crystal Mountain, and Snoqualmie Pass, including centerline profiles for new ski lifts and seasonal high‑elevation projects
- Provide field surveying for the construction and maintenance on high pressure gas pipelines
- Federal boundary surveys under USDA Forest Service contracts
This is a full‑time permanent field position, typically 5 days per week, 8–10 hours per day. Reliable transportation to our Issaquah office is required.
Responsibilities
- Lead field crews and manage daily survey operations
- Perform and oversee boundary, topographic, and construction‑related survey tasks
- Ensure data accuracy, field safety, and proper documentation
- Communicate effectively with office staff, clients, and project stakeholders
- Train and mentor entry‑level crew members
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Survey Crew Chief or equivalent field leadership role
- Strong knowledge of boundary, topographic, and construction survey methods
- Proficiency with survey instruments and field data collection workflows
- Valid driver’s license
