Role Description
The Personal Trainer will be responsible for providing high value coaching, creating personalized training programs, and fostering strong client-coach relationships to support individuals in their fitness journey. The Personal Trainer should demonstrate high emotional intelligence and should be familiar with the coaching the big lifts (Squat, Bench, Deadlift, and Overhead Press). This is not a typical 9-5 job. Being a trainer can require some odd hours and/or weekend work. That said, we recognize that odd hours are a main source of burnout for fitness professionals. We will work with you to find a mutually beneficial schedule.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Health Sciences or other related degree preferred) and
- Nationally accredited personal training certifcation (NASM, NSCA, ISSA, AFAA, NESTA, ACSM, ACE, NCSF)or a CrossFit Level 1 certification
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct all scheduled training sessions
- Manage client programming, utilizing TrueCoach software for both in-person and remote sessions
- Actively participate in trainer meetings and development sessions
Additional Expectations
- Lead by example. Embody our core values both in and out of the gym.
- Arrive to work with adequate time and be fully prepared for each session.
- Act professionally, but don’t take yourself too seriously. Keep this a fun and positive work environment.
- Clean and put equipment away after each session.
- Seek out and engage in continued education opportunities.
Compensation
- $40-60 per training session, DOE
- $25-30 per hour for meetings and administrative work
- Annual continuing education stipend
Salary : $25 - $30
