What are the responsibilities and job description for the Case Manager position at EastRidge Health Systems?
Perform administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of EastRidge Health Systems Psychiatrists. General assistance for psychiatrists as needed.
Duties performed but not limited to the following:
- Reads and routes incoming physician’s mail. When pertaining to client care, delivered to physician to be addressed. All such correspondence needs to be scanned in client record after physician’s action.
- Retrieves and delivers all faxes needing the physician’s attention in a timely manner and ensuring if appropriate, securing physicians’ signature and faxed back to sender. i.e. prescription refills.
- Ensures all pertinent correspondences are scanned into client records.
- Administer drug screens and record results when requested by physician.
- Completes necessary forms for qualified clients to participate in patient assistance programs to receive free or discounted medication.
- Retrieves medical records for physicians on clients when requested by physician.
- Working with the physician to ensure that all internal documentation requiring physician signature is completed daily.
- Makes copies of correspondence or other printed material and prepares physician’s outgoing mail.
- Prepare electronic prescriptions for doctor’s signature. Then forward signed prescription to the appropriate community or mail order pharmacy.
- Orders medical supplies as appropriate.
- Submits accurate time sheets and leave requests to supervisor for approval in a timely manner.
- Communicates with co-workers, management, clients, and vendors in a courteous and professional manner.
- Attends training as required.
- Completes other duties as assigned.
**Pay is based on education level and experience.
1. BA degree in a Human Services field preferred.
2. Experience in behavioral health and/or medical field preferred.
3. Must be proficient in computer applications.
