About the Position
We are seeking a reliable, hands-on Onsite Maintenance Technician to keep our property, buildings, equipment, and grounds safe, clean, and operating efficiently. This position also involves direct, face-to-face interaction with tenants, so strong customer-service and communication skills are essential. The ideal candidate is a dependable problem-solver who takes pride in quality work and providing a positive experience for residents.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance
- Respond promptly and professionally to tenant maintenance requests
- Communicate directly with tenants regarding maintenance concerns, scheduling, and completed work
- General understanding of plumbing systems.
- Provide friendly, courteous, and professional customer service at all times
- Enter tenant apartments and occupied spaces to diagnose and complete repairs
- Maintain common areas, buildings, and grounds
- Complete painting, drywall, carpentry, and general repairs as needed
- Inspect equipment and property for maintenance and safety concerns
- Respond to maintenance emergencies in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of completed work and repairs
- Keep maintenance areas, tools, and equipment clean and organized
- Assist with snow removal, salting, and winter property maintenance as needed
- Follow all applicable safety procedures and regulations
- Assist with notifications and recertification distribution to tenants.
Qualifications
- Previous maintenance or facilities experience preferred
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working directly with tenants face-to-face
- Professional, respectful, and approachable demeanor
- General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and mechanical systems
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and find practical solutions
- Basic hand and power tool experience
- Valid driver's license preferred
- Ability to lift, carry, climb, bend, and work in various conditions
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Strong communication and organizational skills

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
