Job Overview
The Warehouse Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring inventory is accurately accounted for, properly stored, and handled in a safe and organized manner. This role collaborates closely with the management and production teams to support operational goals while maintaining compliance with food safety and regulatory standards.
Duties
- Demonstrate effective communication in a professional and respectful manner.
- Collaborate with team members to meet company standards and goals.
- Provide training, direction, and leadership to maintain a successful, safe, and organized work environment.
- Deliver shift instructions and hold team members accountable for execution and accuracy.
- Ensure warehouse documentation is completed, accurate, and legible.
- Plan and direct receiving, labeling, and appropriate storage of inventory.
- Record and inspect deliveries for compliance with purchase orders.
- Supervise and operate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks).
- Stage and organize orders for shipping, production, and storage in accordance with FIFO and company/customer standards.
- Conduct routine, periodic, and annual inventories with accuracy and precision.
Food Safety
- Implement and enforce departmental procedures and food safety protocols.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, and SQF requirements.
- Identify and report any food safety concerns to management immediately.
- Attend all required food safety training.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and continuously improving warehouse environment.
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of supervisory experience in a food manufacturing facility.
- HACCP and SQF training preferred; familiarity with GMP, SOPs, and internal policies required.
- Inventory control proficiency
- Data entry experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced production setting.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
Physical / Additional Requirements:
- Maintain great attendance at all times
- Ability to work late nights or early mornings as required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Comfortable working in a production environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
- Manual dexterity and ability to operate machinery safely and effectively.
Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
