WE'RE HIRING: WATERPROOFING LABORER
Big Sky Waterproofing, a division of Easton Companies
Full-Time | Non-Exempt | Bozeman, MT & Surrounding Job Sites
Easton Companies is growing, and our Waterproofing division is looking for hardworking, reliable laborers ready to learn a trade and build a career. If you're willing to show up, work hard, and pick up new skills on the job, we want to hear from you.
About Easton Companies
Easton Companies is a Montana-based construction company built on a simple idea: do quality work, take care of our people, and always do the right thing. Our Waterproofing division protects buildings from water intrusion through damp proofing, waterproofing membranes, crack sealing and repair, and related systems — critical, skilled work that keeps structures sound for decades.
Our core values guide everything we do:
- Safety — Everyone goes home safely.
- Teamwork — Trust, commitment, and the willingness to hold each other accountable.
- Quality — A passion for excellence.
- Customer Service — Think like a customer.
- Make It Happen — Perseverance, intelligent execution, never give up.
The Opportunity
As a Waterproofing Laborer, you'll provide attentive, quality labor supporting our waterproofing crews on job sites throughout the area. This role is primarily general laborer work — hauling and unloading materials, keeping trucks and trailers stocked, and keeping job sites clean and organized — applied specifically within our Waterproofing department.
You'll work alongside experienced waterproofing technicians and learn the trade hands-on: damp proofing, waterproofing membrane systems, crack sealing and repair, Enviro-Dri, and more. Be a crew member your team can rely on to always be on time and ready to work. As your skills grow, so do your opportunities — in both pay and leadership.
What You'll Do
- Safety — Follow safe work practices in accordance with Easton Companies' Safety & Health Manual. Use required PPE at all times (hard hat, safety glasses, ear protection, high-visibility clothing, work boots, and gloves).
- Hauling & Unloading Materials — Move waterproofing materials and supplies to and from storage and the job site.
- Assisting with Waterproofing Application — Help apply waterproofing materials to building components under the guidance of experienced crew.
- Equipment & Tools — Learn to operate the machinery, equipment, and tools used in the waterproofing process.
- Cleaning Site — Remove tools and supplies, pack the truck, and maintain general housekeeping of the job site.
- Stocking Trucks & Trailers — Keep trucks and trailers organized, stocked (including safety supplies), and ready for deployment to the next job.
- Professional Experience — Help make every job a positive experience for the customer, the team, and everyone involved in the project.
Other duties as assigned may include: cleaning the shop, assisting with equipment/facility repairs and maintenance, and washing or servicing work trucks.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
- Valid Driver's License (preferred)
- No prior waterproofing experience required — we'll train the right person
- A strong desire to learn, grow, and show up ready to work every day
Working Conditions
- Work is performed at construction sites, both indoors and outdoors, in all seasons — including cold, heat, and inclement weather.
- Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.
- Hours are often 10 hours a day, 50 hours a week, depending on work demands.
What Makes You Successful Here
- Attendance & Reliability — Show up for every scheduled shift ready to work.
- Team Player — Communicate and work cooperatively with co-workers; take and follow instructions from supervisors.
- Attitude — A good attitude, a willingness to train, and a commitment to self-improvement.
- Performance — Complete tasks in a timely manner and always keep safety in front of mind, for yourself and those around you.
