Transportation Supervisor

This is an administrative position which reports directly to the Director of Transportation.
The Transportation Supervisor assists the Transportation Director in managing safe, efficient transportation services in accordance with state and federal regulations and district policies. Responsibilities include coordinating bus routes and dispatch, inspecting bus stops, overseeing vehicle maintenance, supervising and evaluating staff, supporting driver training and certification, maintaining records and reports, addressing transportation concerns, and assisting with accident investigations. The position requires knowledge of Pennsylvania transportation regulations and availability after hours and on weekends as needed.
Qualifications: Candidates must have experience in general transportation operations, and be proficient in using computers and spreadsheets. Familiarity with district roads, bus stops, and bus routes is required, along with the ability to design efficient routes and demonstrate the leadership and supervisory skills needed to direct, plan, and organize the work of subordinates.
The selected candidate shall be chosen based on credentials, the ability to demonstrate job functions and the successful completion of a series of interviews along with meeting all local requirements. Salary commensurate with experience and knowledge.
