Responsibilities
- Receives, unloads and forwards products, supplies, raw materials and packaging materials according to supervisor’s direction.
- Organize and prepare product for shipping/receiving.
- Pack, load and/or unloads product shipping/receiving.
- Interpret orders and coordinate production needs for clean-room and warehouse operators.
- Set up production machines to order.
- Perform/collaborate on in-process troubleshooting.
- Measure, sample and visually inspect product, as required.
- Monitors raw material inventories.
- Follows and reviews all safety rules, procedures, and practices for safety of other operators, maintenance personnel, and contractors.
- Completes required inspections of safety systems.
- Attends required training sessions.
- Performs other work assigned by supervisor.
- HS Diploma or equivalent required
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- A strong commitment to working safely and to the safety of others.
- Ability to perform high quality, cost effective work in order to meet customer expectations.
- Ability to efficiently and effectively monitor plant equipment and make adjustments to processes and controls; ability to handle upsets, startups, and shutdowns of plant systems and processes.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision in a self-directed team environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
- Flexibility in approach to tasks and openness to change.
