Job Summary
We're looking for an experienced Audio Visual / Low Voltage Technician to join our growing team. Eastman AV designs, installs, and services commercial technology systems throughout Montana and surrounding states, specializing in hospitality, retail, corporate, restaurant, healthcare, and industrial facilities.
This position involves designing, installing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and servicing a wide variety of commercial AV and low-voltage systems. We're looking for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, communicates professionally with customers, and enjoys solving technical challenges.
Preferred Location
- Based in or within approximately 100 miles of Billings, Bozeman, Helena, Great Falls or Missoula, Montana.
- Regular travel throughout Montana is required, with occasional out-of-state travel.
Preferred Experience
Experience with some or most of the following:
- Commercial audio systems (speakers, amplifiers, DSPs, mixers, paging, and controls)
- CCTV / IP surveillance systems
- Commercial television and digital signage installations
- Low-voltage cabling (Cat5e/Cat6, fiber, coax, speaker wire, control cable)
- Network equipment and basic network configuration
- Structured cabling and rack installation
- AV system commissioning and troubleshooting
- System design and engineering
- Control systems and automation
- Digital signal processing (DSP) programming
- Background in electrical, structured cabling, or IT is a plus
The ideal candidate has a proven track record of successful installations, works well independently, represents the company professionally, and maintains strong communication and organizational skills.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of commercial low-voltage or AV installation experience
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Comfortable working on ladders and lifts
- Able to lift and move equipment as required
- Able to travel for overnight projects when needed
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
