Seeking a qualified candidate to fill a part-time Laboratory Analyst position in the Chemical and Environmental Laboratory at the Longview, TX plant site.

* Work schedules may vary and will be a minimum of 20 hours per week.
* This position may have potential opportunities to move into regular full-time positions as a Laboratory Analyst or Technician for qualified candidates
* Analysts work under the direction of a Team Manager
* The analyst is responsible for performing testing on routine and non-routine samples using chemical analysis techniques including:

- Gas chromatography
- Titrations and other wet chemical analyses
- Ultraviolet and infrared spectroscopy
- Viscosity measurements, Softening Point and other polymer analyses
- Total halogen, sulfur and nitrogen testing
- Flashpoint testing
* Analysts are also responsible for monitoring the quality of test results using statistical process control techniques, investigating failing results, calibrating and maintaining test equipment
* Work is conducted in an environment regulated by ISO and cGMP standards
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- An Associate's degree in Chemistry, a Bachelor's in Physical Science, or at least two years of directly related experience is preferred.
- Candidates pursuing an associate or bachelor's degree in Physical Science are also encouraged to apply.
- Candidates must be at least 18 years old.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word is essential.
