Position Overview
Eastlake Cardiovascular, PC is seeking a highly organized, experienced, and motivated Lead Medical Assistant to support our fast-paced cardiovascular practice. This role is responsible for leading day-to-day clinical operations, ensuring efficient patient flow, and supporting both providers and team members to deliver exceptional patient care.
The Lead MA serves as a key resource for staff, promoting consistency, accountability, and a collaborative team environment while maintaining high clinical and operational standards in a high-volume setting.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support Medical Assistants in daily clinical operations, workflow, and patient flow
- Serve as a point of contact for clinical staff, assisting with questions, escalations, and problem-solving
- Ensure efficient rooming of patients, accurate documentation, and timely provider support
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, and maintain proper sterile techniques
- Oversee preparation of exam rooms, ensuring proper stocking, cleanliness, and readiness for patient care
- Monitor and maintain quality standards, workflows, and compliance with clinical protocols
- Assist with training, onboarding, and mentoring of new and existing MAs
- Partner with leadership to identify process improvements and drive efficiency
- Support staff scheduling coordination and ensure clinic flow remains on track throughout the day
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including documentation, patient communication, and coordination of care
- Promote a positive, team-oriented culture while addressing concerns proactively
- Track and maintain inventory for EKG carts and exam rooms
Qualifications
- 3 years of Medical Assistant experience required; cardiology experience strongly preferred
- Previous leadership, lead, or mentoring experience preferred
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) preferred
- Basic Life Support certification (BLS) required
- Proficiency in EKGs, phlebotomy, and clinical procedures
- Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced medical environment
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and cardiovascular workflows
- Experience with electronic medical records (Epic preferred)
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain attention to detail under pressure
